It is intended to enable students the ability to analyse and design, according to European Standards in force, flexible retaining structures, anchors and deep foundations:

1. Learning to make the strutural verification of geotechnical structures in accordance with the philosophy of safety recommended in Eurocodes 0, 1 and 7 (NP EN 1990, NP EN 1991 and NP EN 1997);
2. Know how to analyse and design flexible retaining structures to the ultimate and serviciability state limit according to Eurocode 7;
3. Know how to analyse and design anchors according to Eurocode 7;
4. Know how to analyse and design deep foundations to the ultimate and serviceability state limit according to Eurocode 7.
